EPP stands for Expanded Polypropylene. It
is earned by creating foams with Polypropylene
resins in the NPE foaming method, and molding
the foams (bead type) into a desired shape.
By nature of the PP resin, a major ingredient
of EPP, EPP is better in terms of durability,
shock absorption, flexibility and resistance
to chemicals than Expandable Polystyrene (EPS).
When compared with Polyurethane Foam(PUF),
it is lighter and better in absorbing shocks.
Its foams are stronger than those of EPE.
To achieve light weight of products and resistance
against heat, EPP can be effectively used.
Recently, in the face of concerns about environmental
pollution caused by EPS, nations in the world
are implementing regulations to replace EPS
with EPP. |
